タケ小山が直撃LIVEインタビュー！ PGAツアーインサイドロープニュース
ルイジアナ州のTPCルイジアナで開催されている米国男子ツアーの「チューリッヒクラシック」の話題を中心に、PGAツアーの広報責任者であるトム・アルター氏にインタビュー。
タケ: トム、おはようございます！
トム：おはようございます。ここフロリダは金曜日の夕方で、週末に向けて色々と楽しいことがたくさんあるので楽しみにしているところです。
タケ：今朝はラジオに出演頂きましてありがとうございます。ニューオリンズで開催されているトーナメントの雰囲気はいかがですか？
トム：すごくエキサイティングな展開になっています。14歳のアマチュア、グアン・ティンランが通算3アンダー、57位タイに順位を上げ、決勝ラウンド進出を決めていて、信じられないくらい驚いているし、これはPGAツアーの歴史に残る出来事です。2009年の全米オープン優勝者のルーカス・グローバーが通算12アンダーで単独首位に立っています。
タケ：スコアボードによると、グアン・ティンランがディフェンディングチャンピオンのジェイソン・ダフナーと同組でまわる可能性もありますね。
トム：状況次第ですが、可能性はありますね。
タケ：昨年の試合で、ジェイソン・ダフナーとプレーオフの末敗れたアーニー・エルスが通算8アンダーの単独5位と検討していますね。
トム：彼の今日のプレーは素晴らしかったですね。
タケ：“Local Boy”ブー・ウィークリーも通算11アンダーの単独2位です。
トム：ブーはベストショットメーカーのうちの一人です。とても調子がよいので、パットが決まってくれば優勝の可能性は十分あるでしょう。
タケ：彼は魚釣りがとても上手だそうです（笑）
トム：彼はフロリダ育ちの“Local Boy”ですからね。
タケ：ジョナサン・バードと仲良しだと聞いています。
トム：バッバ・ワトソンも含めてフロリダの同じ地域で育ったのでとても仲が良いみたいですね。
タケ：ニューオリンズでおこなわれるこのトーナメントはキャディや選手にバーベキューなどたくさんのおいしい食べ物を振舞うことで有名ですね。
トム：そうなんです。バーベキューだけでなく、全ての種類の食べ物が揃っています。我々もとても楽しみにしている試合の一つで、多くのキャディや選手は数週間前からダイエットをしてこの試合に備えるくらいですから。
タケ：石川遼選手についてはどう思いますか。
トム：彼は我々がとても大好きな選手のうちの一人です。今のところまだ成績はよくないですが、近いうちに活躍してくれることを期待しています。
タケ：「GREEN JACKET」を聞いているリスナーはやっぱりタイガー・ウッズの話が聞きたいと思います。
トム：既に3勝していますし、マスターズでも15番の不運な出来事が無ければ優勝のチャンスはあったと思います。
タケ：グァン・ティンランについてもう一つ質問です。彼の出場は主催者推薦ですか、それともコミッショナー推薦？
トム：主催者推薦ですね。大会の主催者であるチューリッヒ生命は、グアン・ティンランが優勝した「アジア・パシフィック・アマチュア選手権」のスポンサーでもあります。
タケ：他の試合への出場も予定されていますか。
トム：そうですね、一旦家に帰ったあと、アメリカに戻って全米オープンのクオリファイに挑戦します。その後、6月頃に主催者推薦で1～2試合に出場する予定です。
タケ：そろそろ時間になってしまいました。出演していただいてありがとうございます。来月も楽しみにしています。
トム：こちらこそありがとうございます。来月が今から楽しみです。

Take: Good morning, Tom! How are you?
Tom: I am doing great, and this is Friday afternoon here in Florida. Looking for the weekend, because a lot of things going on here. I am very excited.
Take: Thank you for joining today. How is the tournament going on New Orleans?
Tom: It has been very exciting so far, 14 year-old Chinese boy, Guan Tianlang, carded 3- under today in the second round, and he made a cut. It is just unbelievable that he is the youngest player in PGATOUR history actually to make a cut; I am very excited for him. As a leaderboard, very strong with the 2009 U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover.
Take: Watching leaderboard, may Guan play with Jason Dufner, who is a defending champion?
Tom: He could be, but it depends on what happens; Jason Dufner is struggling to make a cut, but who knows they might play together.
Take: I remember last year Jason Dufner played against Ernie Els, and he has finished 8- under today.
Tom: Yes, he played very very well today.
Take: Also local boy; Boo Weekley played well, too.
Tom: Yes, Boo Weekly is one of the best ball striker, and he always hit the balls very close to the pin. He is healthy now, so once he starts to make some puts, he will have a very good chance to win.
Take: I know he is a very good fisherman, too.
Tom: Yes, he is kind of a local boy growing up in Florida.
Take: Is Jonathan Byrd a good friend of him?
Tom: Yes, and also Bubba Watson; they all grow up same area, and they are very close.
Take: I know this tournament feed good food for players and caddies like a barbecue.
Tom: Not just barbecue, all kind of food. They actually have food stations set up all over the golf course. This is the one of my favorite stop on the PGATOUR; caddies and players go on diet couple of week ahead of time, because they know they are going on crazy for food.
Take: What do you think of Ryo Ishikawa?
Tom: He is one of our favorite players, but he has not play good this year yet. I expected to play well in near future.
Take: Also “GREEN JACKET” listeners want to know about Tiger Woods.
Tom: He has played well, won three times already. He had chance at the Masters, but unfortunately his ball hit flag at 15th hole.
Take: One more thing about Guan Tianlang. Does he get sponsor exemption or commissioner exemption?
Tom: Sponsor exemption. Zurich which; the insurance company, is also sponsor of Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship. He is a winner, so he is invited.
Take: Will he get more invitation?
Tom: No doubt. He is going home, and coming back to stay for a while to try to qualify for U.S. Open champion, and perhaps he will get other sponsor exemption one or two other tournament in June.
